From the Mirrorman music collective made up of the trio, eL Flaco (rapper, songwriter and film maker), Zee Zee (rapper, producer and songwriter) and O’Shakes (producer, songwriter) comes the first official release, eL Flaco’s “The Samurai Series Volume One: VII”.
eL Flaco’s “The Samurai Series Volume One: VII” is an 11 track project, mainly produced by The Red Cap Chiefs made up of Sugarking and Jimi Tones with cameo productions by Kid Konnect (“Tell Scotty”) and Don Jazzy (“Way More Than 2 G’s – Enigma”)
Creator and one third of the indie production company MirrorMan Entertainment, eL Flaco (Skini), started writing songs at the age of 8, with Shawn Carter, Christopher Wallace, Fiest, Boyz Noise and Mary Poppins listed as his influences. He has opened for acts like UK funky house legend Donaeo, Nu Brand Flexx, Bracket and Princess NY amongst others.
Moving to London in the summer of ’04, he started putting out music under BeMe Ent. after meeting up and forging a friendship with rapper Beazy. Along with ChyKay, Playback and Lumidizzle they created quite a buzz in the university circuit with songs like “Gimme That”, “Game on Lock”, and “Make Way” among others.
A lot has happened since ’04 including Collaborations with African Hip-Hop greats like Show Dem Camp & D’Black (Ghana), his debut viral video “Go Flaco” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezhcsOOnDeI) which earned rave reviews and directing & editing videos for the likes of Piff Poe Cani and Chuks of Street Politics.
