Remember when we heard Beyonce was supposed to perform at Bella Adenuga’s wedding, and it turned out that she in fact did not perform? Yeah. Well guess who performed instead… Chidynma. She has the voice of an angel, and after listening to her song, Obimmo, I was blown away. The hair on my arms were literally standing. I’m more than convinced that she will in the top 5 Naija RnB singers on any given day very soon. I’m a believer and you should be too. I wont attempt to give out what’s already stated in her bio, so check it out.
ChiDynma Okebalama started singing in the Children’s choir at her church in Port Harcourt, Rivers State at age 5. She moved to the U.S to further her education at Northeastern University, where she graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After working a couple of years as a System Engineer in the United States, She finally decided to follow her heart, and pursue her passion for music and a career in the entertainment industry.
ChiDynma also referred to as D’Voice first made her presence known in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry in 2008 where she performed alongside multiple award winning recording artist, Banky W. during the Nigerian Reunion in Marlyand, USA. Fast forward 2 years and she is back in Lagos, Nigeria registering herself as one of the female voices to watch out for in the Industry.
Since she has been back, she has been hard at work recording with the likes of Don Jazzy, Sam Klef, Hakym ‘The Dream’ and Duncan Daniels. Her single ‘Obimmo’ has made its way into the Nigerian airwaves and has been described as a timeless love song. She has also performed at numerous high profile events around the country, ranging from performing at Bella Adenuga and Jameel Disu’s wedding, to the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Pageant 2010 and Bashorun Dele Momodu’s 50th Birthday Party. She has been featured in various lifestyle and entertainment magazines across the Country.
Her new song, “Woozy Woozy” produce by Hakym is the first single off her anticipated Album. It is a fun dance record with a very catchy hook. This song definitely gets your feet moving and keeps you on the dance floor. Enjoy.
Her new joint, Woozy Woozy is an upbeat feel good joint, that gets pretty addictive after a few listens. I’ve been bumping this joint all day, and strangely enough it sounds better with every listen. Without too much gist, you be the judge and listen for yourself.
Drop a comment or 2 afterwards.
