Is Ankara For Everyone?

5

Hey you all! I know I’ve been gone for a minute but I’m back with the jump off! Well at least another Friday Fashion Fix.

I was snooping around some blogs and came across KennyNAIJA‘s blog at kennynaija.com and he had a post on Alicia Keys’ video shoot with Beyonce in Brazil for her newest single, Put it in a Love Song so I thought I’d share it with you all. Miss Keys and Miss Knowles were both dressed in clothing made of, what looks like, ankara. Check out some photos and enjoy!

  1. When I first read this title I thought, "Of course! Why not?" Then I clicked on the blog and looked at these pictures and thought, "hmmm maybe ankara is not for everyone…"

  2. I love the pics! I think they look hot, and the only prolems would be with the design, the contrast in the fabrics and the styles…. but I love it nonetheless…

  3. These clothes are from a company caled "Boxing Kitten" (google it) they say the fabric is from Switzerland or sumtin like that. They give no props to African, and the little they say about Africans on the website is sort of a diss (saying sumtin like they wear cheaper versions in West Africa)
