  1. Ermmm……… Obviously the author doesnt know to much about these categories some of these characteristics i think the article was based on sum1's personal judgment and not what rlly is…..I mean he obviously knows nothing abt hausa girls and thats why he claims "every thing is good" I mean common (not that i am saying there must be something bad o)…….. Lets try to be objective in our article….that's what journalism is abt!

  2. who ever sent you this joint actually took his or her time mehn… i mean everything is perfectly true and this is so hilarious lol yo all the yoruba wives and all the igbo wives…..lmao lmao lmao lmao lmao lmao

  3. Damn!!!! 2 good to be true. where can i find an Hausa woman in America. Where do they hangout? Pls, somebody help me out!!! Lol. I believe all women are craeted equally, everywhere in the world regardless what ethnic or tribe they belong. Whatever attitude you find in a woman wheather Good or Bad, Sex wise or Bed wise, Clean or Unclean, Cooking skill or No cooking skill. She chooses to live such life style. Me, myself and I believe that when you respect and treat a woman right you will always get the best of her in everything you want from her.

  4. While these stereotypes are quite hilarious, 85% of the them are inaccurate. Open your eyes very well before marrying. Test the character of each person, and be discerning.

A person's character supercedes their ethnicity. For example, ethnicity does not predispose a person to infidelity; rather, it is the person's learned attitudes towards moral male-female interactions that determines their fidelity.

Whichever part of the country they are from, Nigerian women are a special breed and you need special skills to handle. Unfortunately, those skills are not taught in school.

Loved the part about the Hausa man marrying you as wife #4 at 14. That had me rolling.

    Well done guys.

      • Well for me, I don't know whether they are more true or more inaccurate. Either way i'm not looking to marry an ethnicity based off of these descriptions. Just like your testimony, I'd rather just leave everything to God. Honestly, I'm a yoruba chic and i dont plan on jazzing my husband or sleeping with his boss or other men. I simply found the article funny and noticed people were discussing whether its more accurate or inaccurate. However, at the same time I'm sure you're right and a lot/some people may very well fall under these stereotypes.

        • My sister, I wish you the best from the Lord. I don't know if you're a Christian, but this is what I tell my children (most of marriage age) It will not hurt you to wait on the Lord, Pray, and listen to your parents (they may or may not be so educated) but wisdom is not learned in schools. God bless you. Am a Yoruba man.

          • yup, I'm a christian and i'm a few years under marriage age (at least i think it is…) 21. My parents are educated and I am doing just that, waiting on the Lord. You definitely gave me a good laugh today! thanks and God bless you too

          • sorry, i just found it funny how you were very specific in your reply. I tend to do that as well because it's online and you can never be too sure. I hope I didn't offend you!

  5. funny as it may seem u r 75% correct abt this sterotype thingy, but i honestly knw that we r gettin to a stage in nigeria were can rise above most part of this sterotype.

i am proud to b an ibo girl(though mixed togo lome) but i for one dont want to marry an ibo guy not becos i ve nything against them (def dont), but becos i want to raise kids who will look only at character nd not on ethnicity, becos no matter how true all u ve written is d r alot of pple like me u ve made it a conscious point 2 rise above this enthnicty sterotype branding, so we can be appreciated 4 who we stand out to be nd not cos of our tribe.

    • you are being ethnic even by saying you wont marry an igbo person. The world is changing, sorry to say it, these guys and gals were made by God. Yes, the one you pray to, He made them all. Are you saying he makes wrongly? Be open my dear naijan and you will see the world and naija is changing… Give me a good person anyday from anywhere….

      • well i guess u dont understnd wat im sayin, i dont have nythng agnst my ibo bro i want my kids to ve d benefit of tw differnt cultures nd i also want d beneift of learnin another culture too.

well nd yes since God created all of us then we can comfortably marry outside our tribes.cos mosttimes i tell pple i want 2 marry outside my tribe d begin to lecture me on d advantages of stickin to my tribe, i dont want that 4 my kids.

        • Chinelo sounds a bit shaky….lol.

          First u don’t choose your partner…God does.

So does he choose whether u will have some kids and if your kid will be tribalistic or not.

          • hmm. ,

so does God choose partners 4 pple who dont beliv in him, i thnk we shld leave d religion out of marriage .

secondly comin frm a mixed backgrnd i think i can tell u frm 1st hand knowlege that u r born non tribalistic.

  6. This Naija Stereotype is partly true with exceptions to the rule. What always makes the difference is being a practicing Christian, meaning that the husband and wife married in godly way regardless of the past lifes lived. I am saying this from my own example. My life in Nigeria was exactly as it is discribed above, but fortunately, my wife is from the Eastern region, and that is why I have a good testimony to give. She stuck it out with me until I travelled to the US, and things changed due to diff. culture and I met Christ. I became a born again child of GOD. I brought my family to the US and the rest is a big testimony to the glory of God.

  7. While this may be for laughs, (I didn't find any part of it funny at all) if you really want to be taken seriously as a news / entertainment / social website, you have to be very mindful of the many visitors who WILL get offended, disclaimer or no disclaimer. I would like to come back to jaguda.com again but I will stop visiting once I sense that my right to be upset by insensitive jokes is deemed inferior to the web master's right to publish such inflammatory material in the first place. It's like calling your mother a whore after telling you, "Hey, listen to this joke…"

I dare say, I am not the only visitor to your site who will find this article (?) distasteful, and Whereas I am willing to give the editors a second chance, a lot of visitors will simply never come back to your site and even tell other people not to. This is the reality of on-line communities – building one requires the ability to refrain from publishing such garbage as you have done because people WILL get offended and you can not afford that…We have to many other web sites to choose from.

    • lighten up man !!!!!! im an ibo girl nd i can tell u that half of d things said r true abt us,nd sometimes pple say them to my face, but who cares pple r entilted to dir opnions nd i dont let dir opnions define who im.

but seriously if u ve a problem wit this blog then get ready to fight world war 3,4,5,6 …. cos even if this blog goes off u will meet such comments during conversations wat will u do then cut ur ears off. LOL

      • It is wrong top deepen stereotypes. Even in a joke. I will surely stay away from this particular "Blog" in the future as it is not to my taste. Nothing is wrong with you if it is to your taste.

        • Can someone tell pastor Leye to stop the preaching. This is a blog only and what you read hereon or on many other blog pages is not rocket science. If you can't take the joke why come on to a site called jaguda in the first place? I have a feeling the stereo-typing hit the nail on the head as regards your position or wife position. If that is the case too bad,you still have to live with it or is it with her.

    • I dont understand why the poster is being attacked. if he fails to find humour in it and has taken the time to voice his opinion decently perhaps some should listen and see if it's valid rather than attack him. 'cause I'm sure if you check the site statistics fewer than 5% of the visitors that come here comment. so he/she probably represents a bigger body of people with the same thought & by censoring them, you are preventing possible more open comments.

      • babes, no one is attacking him, if he as well as d remaining silent visitors loosen up a bit, d will c d humor in this article after d article didn't attack only one tribe. besides this site isnt meant for just any body.

  8. Blog Defined…

": a Web site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments, and often hyperlinks provided by the writer; also : the contents of such a site"

Please if you do not have the liver to handle a blog site, please do not get on it! It is not by force for you to get on this site. OK. It is a BLOG!!! Lighten up people! I am a warri babe and what was said of my tribe is by no means true. But who cares? Its a blog.

So again if you do not have the sense of humor to laugh at things published on a blog, that clearly states that it is for laughs only please GET OFF THE SITE!!!!

Mscheeeeew!!! All these square people! trying to be cool by getting on the internet.

  9. The part about Edo women building houses is sooooooo TRUE! I'm Edo born. Can't blame them tho for "insuring" their future (and that of their children). Funny post!

  10. Mr. Leye sounds like someone that will beat his wife every morning just for kicks. Very backward guy – should not be on the internet. I read the blog and had a laugh.
